L1/L5 Sub-Meter GNSS Receiver Introduction: PX1125S-02 & PX1125DP-02

9th Aug 2023

PX1125S-02 is a GPS/QZSS L1/L5 + Galileo E1/E5a + Beidou B1I/B2a dual-frequency receiver.

Using dual-frequency signal processing algorithm, PX1125S-02 can better reduce the effect of ionospheric error in real-time than an SBAS receiver that depends on ionospheric grid delay estimation from SBAS satellite that's updated periodically.

The reference point in below convergence plots uses CSRS-PPP determined antenna position with a Trimble BD990 receiver RINEX log file. The testing is done at a time with TEC value around 47.5 and 52.

As can be seen in the figure, PX1125S-02 can remove ionospheric error more effectively than SBAS receiver at such higher TEC value environment.

PX1125S-02 does not use GLONASS signal due to (1) no GLONASS signal on L5 band, (2) single frequency GLONASS L1 measurement has un-reduced ionospheric error and will degrade position accuracy.

PX1125DP-02 is PX1125S-02 with additional ADR / UDR dead-reckoning capability.
